MIGRATION WORK AROUND HINTS

Below are a few tips, tricks and workarounds while we’re still finalizing and working out a few of the issues with the migration.

System Says You Need to Enable Cookies to Log into Your Account

Problem:  When trying to log into your account you receive the error message that you need to enable cookies.

Solution:  First, close the browser window that has SendOutCards in it.  Open a new browser window and go to a new website, not SendOutCards.  Once at a different site, clear your browser cookies.  If you need help on clearing your cookies please click this link or copy and paste it into your browser https://www.sendoutcards.com/clear-cookies/

Once your cookies are clear then you can go back to the SendOutCards site and log in without any problems.

***Special Note:   If your Username is different than your account number then please make sure you are using your Username to login. For example, if your account number is r12345 but your Username is joesmith you should login using  joesmith and your password.

 

Getting Error 500 When Sending A Card

Problem:  Sending cards by going to the Contact Manger or through Reminders on the Main Menu will cause and Error 500. Also when adding a new contact if you click Save and Send a Card you will also get an error 500 message.

Solution:  Cards can be sent successfully by going through the Card Catalog first.

Campaigns With Future Dates Getting Error

Problem:  When sending a campaign in which the card is assigned a future date (for Birthdays, Anniversaries or Specific Dates) you will receive the message “Error Undefined” and the campaign cards will not be sent.

Solution: Changing the campaign card send date to Immediate will enable the card to be sent.

***Special Note:  Cards sent directly through the Card Catalog (not through a campaign) can still be sent out successfully using the  future date feature.l

 

Pulling up Contacts by Birthday/Anniversary Month

Problem:  When you go to your Contact Manager and do a search for a specific month, for Birthday or Anniversary, the search should pull up a list of everyone that has a birthday in the month you choose.  However, currently the search is only pulling up anyone that has a Birthday/Anniversary on the 1st day of that month only.

Solution 1: Hover your mouse over Contacts on the red bar, click on Calendar and search for any month. This will give you a list of Birthdays/Anniversaries for that month, which you can then reference to send cards.

Solution 2:  Go to the Contact Manager and choose a Birthday or Anniversary Month and Day, click on Find Contacts and send a campaign to those contacts.  Repeat these for each day you think you may have contacts listed on.

  

Cannot Send an Order Through The Photo Store

Problem:  If you have a project already created in the Photo Store for a bulk amount of cards then you can successfully send that order through the Photo Store.  However, currently there is not a way to create new orders or add new pictures to your Photo Store account.

Solution:  If you need a large amount of cards, such as graduation announcements, an alternative is to do a Bulk Order through the SOC system.

To Create a Bulk Order:

First, fill out the this form and return via email to cards@sendoutcards.com (be sure to put the word BULK in the subject line).

Second, create your card in the SendOutCards Card Catalog and send it to us directly. Be sure to add SendOutCards as the country – this ensures you are not charged postage and that your card will reach us as quickly as possible. Printed cards should be addressed as follows:

    Sure hope ALL these issues are fixed soon … these “work arounds” are not fun! I want my full functioning system back!

    This is awful, can’t find any existing contacts nor send cards individually… I also want my full functioning system back ASAP.

    What does going through the card catalog first means? I am trying to send a simple card and it gives me a 500 error? I have no clue what the solution means.

      Did you get an answer yet? Just access the card catalog on the Main Menu by clicking on “Create a Card.” Then after you’ve finished with the card just choose the contact you want to send it to. Hope this helps.

    I’m trying to send an campaign to three new contacts and am getting an undefined error… I’ve checked point and expense balance, along with the campaign and everything seems correct. Is there another way to send a campaign other than through the contact manager?

    Maybe a little more testing would have been good before rolling out a system with this many work-arounds…

    I dont get an error message, i get a calculating cost message that doesnt go away! doesnt matter if im sending a campaign or if im sending an individual card. please help!

    Am unable to complete a card I had planned to send with a youtube video included. I get as far as putting the address of the video into the QR code box, but each time I click ‘generate’ it sends me to a page showing an Error 500. Please restore

    I’ve had no trouble sending cards through the card catalog which is good because May is a very busy month. I am having trouble uploading pictures to my photo album pages. This is frustrating as I’d like to use some of these for picture perfect cards.

    My issue is FIND A CONTACT. It simply won’t find the contact, regardless of how I enter the search data. Please fix this asap – it’s very frustrating. Thanks!

    When will the cust/dist tab work…I need to email my group and keep them excited … and engaged…this is critical….and it is long over due…..to get fixed…..
